Video Movie Review: Bride Wars
We don't rent a lot of movies, but last weekend on a trip grocery shopping, we stopped by our Redbox vending machine and rented a movie. Bride Wars! I heard it was good and we felt like a romantic comedy.
Here is the plot from Wikipedia:
Bride Wars is a 2009 American romantic comedy film directed by Gary Winick and written by Greg DePaul and June Raphael and Casey Wilson.
The film stars Kate Hudson, Anne Hathaway, Candice Bergen, Bryan Greenberg, Chris Pratt, Steve Howey and Kristen Johnston.
Emma and Liv are best friends who have planned every detail of their weddings since they first witnessed a wedding at the Plaza Hotel. Therefore, they both have made it lifetime priority to be married in the same location.
It was a very cute movie. The back and forth between Kate and Anne is funny. Anyone who has gone through the wedding process, will find something here! I could also see a sequel or two. But the negative reviews it received make that unlikely. If your looking for a cute movie with a laugh or two, check it out! :)

Surrogates Trailer
Here's a new trailer that I saw recently. It looks really weird/cool! Here is the Premise from Wikipedia:
Surrogates is an upcoming 2009 science fiction film, based on the 2005–2006 comic book series of the same name. The film is directed by Jonathan Mostow and stars Bruce Willis. Surrogates is scheduled to be released on September 25, 2009.[1]
The year 2017 is a future in which humans live in near-total isolation, never leaving the safety and comfort of their homes, and only communicating with their fellow man through remotely-controlled robotic bodies that serve as "surrogates", designed as better-looking versions of their human operators. Because people are safe all the time, and damage done to a surrogate is not even felt by its owner, it is a peaceful world free from fear, pain, and crime. Agent Greer (Willis) is an FBI agent who enlists the aid of his own surrogate to investigate the first murder in years, of the genius college student who invented the surrogates. The case grows more complicated, however, when several humans are murdered as their surrogates are destroyed. The withdrawn detective discovers that in order to actually catch the killer he will have to physically venture outside the safety of his home for the first time in many years, and enlists the aid of another agent in tracking his target down.
