Random Quote

I was browsing wallpapers (for my iphone) and I came across this inspirational quote. Thought it was worth jotting down on a napkin and sharing it here.

Isn't that neat?

Cotton Eyed Joe History

Here is the history of Cotton Eyed Joe.

Rednex - Cotton Eyed Joe

While driving to work today, I put my iphone on shuffle and let fate decide my music . What came up was one of the most outrageous songs on my iphone. It was Cotton Eyed Joe. It's an old southern song. This version is newer, but no less crazy.

It is a messed up song to be sure. And once you have it in your head, you will never, ever get it out. I apologize in advance. :)

I will try to blog about more songs on my iphone from time to time.

Clips, Clips, and more Clips.

These are some on the clip shows that I enjoy. They watch every show on tv and show us only the "good parts". They are only 30 minutes and they re-run them all the time.

The Soup
Fridays at 10pm on E!

Sports Soup
Tuesdays at 10pm on Versus.

The Dish
Saturdays at 10pm on Style Network.

RvD2: Ryan vs. Dorkman 2

This is one of my all time favorite videos on You Tube. (Can you guess why?) These guys made this themselves!! Can you imagine what they could do with some real Hollywood money behind them? Someone give these guys their own movie or show or something!!

What News Anchors Do During Commercial Breaks w/sound

I knew it!!

Attack of the Show

Just like the tag line says, "It's all the stuff you care about!" You know that really funny video that you saw online? Well Attack of the show knew about it last week! This show really has it's finger on the pulse of the internet. And they bring the hottest stuff to you daily!

With their focus on geeky movies, tv, sci fi, comics and all things tech related, I dare you to find anything else like it on tv.

Weeknights at 7pm on G4.

X Play

X Play is to games as the news is to current events. No true gamer misses an episode of X Play. No place else will have game trailers, game news, interviews with game makers and reviews of the newest games. With the price tag of these games 50.00 and up, it's kinda important to know which games suck and which ones will rock your world!

The hosts Adam & Morgan joke around and the show is definitely aimed at a younger audience. (I admit that I am quickly aging out of their key demographic.) But they are deadly serious about their games. And I guess that's a good thing. Right?

Weeknights at 8pm on G4.

Jeopardy

We don't have alot of game shows on our tivo. But we have Jeopardy! We don't know every question/answer, but we get our fair share. I'll be honest, I usually hope for movies or comics to be a catagory. Most of the time it seems like it's opera or 18th century poets!

Family Guy/American Dad

What can I say about these 2 shows? Well for one, they are both very funny. Seth MacFarlane is not only one of the writers, producers & the director, but he is the voice talent for several of the main characters! These shows always deliver the goods. (AKA laughs!!) Anyone who follows pop-culture will be laughing out loud! Sundays at 9:00 & 9:30.

Saturday Night Live

I know its been on forever. But I still never miss a new show. I usually record it on Tivo and watch it on Sunday morning. Sometimes the skits are stupid, but every now and then you get a good one. They really got alot of jokes from the presidential election of 2008. This weekend Steve Martin is hosting!

Gary Unmarried

This is another sitcom that we enjoy. It's about a divorced couple that recently divorced & are trying to raise 2 kids. I'm a fan of Jay Mohr. He has a very funny show here with a cast that can really keep up with him. It's also nice to see Ed Begley Jr. again! :)

It's on Wednesdays at 8:30 on CBS.

The Big Bang Theory

This is our favorite new sitcom! It's a must for every self-respecting geek! It's on Mondays at 8pm on CBS.

Background

I guess some background is in order. My name is Joe. (Duh it's in the name of the blog!) I live in southern NJ, very close to Philadelphia, PA. So close in fact that I work in the city. I am an Assistant Manager of a Walgreens. I enjoy my work very much. Someday, I hope to be transfered back to the quite suburbs of New Jersey.

I am married to a wonderful woman named Elyse. She is the gardener to my flower. I love her very much and don't know what I would ever do without her. We don't have kids.....yet. However, we have 2 crazy dogs and 4 crazy cats. They keep us very busy & entertained.

Hello Internet!!

This is my first attempt at a 'blog'. Not sure what direction I will take it. For now random rants, raves links that interest me. I will give credit to my good friend Tom for the suggestion of this blog.
